Victoria Sivrais is a Partner of Clermont, based in Chicago. Ms. Sivrais is an accomplished financial communications practitioner with substantial experience in investor relations, media relations, and crisis and transaction communications. Prior to founding Clermont Partners, she was a Managing Director and deputy lead of the Capital Markets practice of the FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment.
During her fifteen year career in financial communications, she has provided guidance to clients around critical issues, including capital-raising activities; best-practices investor relations programs; crisis preparedness; issues management; management transitions; mergers and acquisitions (M&A); and strategic transformations. Ms. Sivrais works across a variety of industries, with a particular focus on companies in the diversified industrials; financial institutions; and technology spaces. Her client experience has included, Avnet; Global Brass and Copper Holdings; Gogo Inc.; The Manitowoc Company; Polaris Industries; Rockwell Automation; WEX Inc.; and Zebra Technologies, among others.
She also is an active member of National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI); and has been a member of the NIRI-Chicago board of directors for the last several years, currently serving as executive vice president. She has held several positions in the past including vice president and co-chair, programs and vice president, treasurer. She has been published and quoted in major financial publications on the topics of shareholder activism, investor engagement and crisis communications.
Elizabeth Saunders is a Partner of Clermont, based in Chicago and New York. Ms. Saunders specializes in building best practices strategic communications programs across a wide spectrum of clients. She has served as senior counsel for business transformation assignments and has actively worked on initial public offerings, pre- and post-merger communications, CEO transitions, and restructurings for Fortune 500 Companies including the Coca-Cola, The Dow Chemical Company and Transocean.
Prior to Clermont, Ms. Saunders was the Americas Chairman of the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting. The Strategic Communications segment she chaired was a global, financial and corporate communications firm. It is consistently ranked by Merger Market as one of the top M&A firms globally and was named the 2012 “Corporate Agency of the Year” by The Holmes Report.
Renowned for her expertise in the area of corporate governance, Ms. Saunders has published numerous articles; lectured throughout the U.S. on shareholder activism strategies; and been quoted in Board & Directors Magazine, The New York Times and Wall Street Journal. She was also named to the prestigious National Association of Corporate Director (NACD) “Directorship 100” and Crain’s Chicago Business “40 Under 40”; and has spoken to the NACD and Women Corporate Directors (WCD).
In 2015, Ms. Saunders also founded Commodore Intelligence, a platform for market intelligence investor profiles and insights into corporate access strategies on US investment in European equities. This platform is used by European companies and their counselors to better target US institutional investors with the strongest probability of investing in their public equities.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Saunders was a co-founder of Ashton Partners, one of the top-15 independent IR firms in the U.S. FTI Consulting acquired Ashton Partners in 2008.
Ms. Saunders holds a law degree from DePaul University, with a concentration in Securities Law, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. She is on the Executive Board of Big Shoulders and a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Investor Relations Institute, and head of its Emerging Issues Committee.
Annie Cheng is a Managing Director at Clermont Partners and is based in New York. Ms. Cheng has in-house experience in a public emerging biotechnology company in Europe, as well as over 10 years’ experience as a biotechnology equity analyst in global investment banking firms and in regional boutiques.
Ms. Cheng joins Clermont Partners in New York after nearly 10 years in London, initially as the European biotechnology analyst at JP Morgan, and then covering and assisting a broader set of emerging healthcare companies at Bryan, Garnier & Co, a French boutique investment bank. Subsequently, she acted as an independent advisor to a number of emerging biotech companies, before joining a client, Silence Therapeutics, as head of corporate development and a member of the board of directors. While at Silence Therapeutics, Ms. Cheng was actively involved with fundraising, strategy, business development and communications.
Ms. Cheng began her career in healthcare equity research in 1999 at Deutsche Bank in New York and is a CFA charterholder. She has a BS Finance and Marketing from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
Douglas Fox is a Managing Director at Clermont Partners, based in Chicago. Mr. Fox has had a long and accomplished career in investor relations, financial communications, investments and finance. For nearly the past 20 years, he led investor relations at Zebra Technologies Corporation, a leading technology company delivering business asset intelligence solutions, with annual sales of $3.5 billion.
At Zebra, he developed and implemented the company’s global investor relations and financial media programs. At the same time, he successfully led communications through various cycles and special events, including Zebra’s transformational acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ Enterprise business in October 2014, management transitions and business divestitures. His tenure in the position has enabled him to develop long and lasting relationships with investors, analysts and other financial professionals around the world. At Zebra, Mr. Fox had also held the position of Treasurer, where he oversaw global banking, insurance, foreign exchange hedging and corporate cash management. He was also actively involved in matters related to insider trading, the company’s 401(k) administration and disclosure, among others, and contributed to the production of Zebra’s periodic filings with the SEC.
Prior to joining Zebra, Mr. Fox had contributed to the significant growth of the investor relations consulting firm, SM Berger & Co. where he developed and implemented investor relations strategies for approximately 40 clients across multiple industries. He began his career on the sell side at McDonald & Co Securities, now a part of Key Bank, where he followed companies in industries as diverse as electric and telephone utilities, healthcare, insurance and office furniture. Mr. Fox’s broad and deep experience also includes working with early-stage and pre-IPO companies, counseling entrepreneurs on their business plans, forecasts and investor presentations.
Mr. Fox has been a regular participant with the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), principally as a panelist and presenter. He served on the board of the Chicago chapter of NIRI. He has also been a guest lecturer on investor relations, and taught college-level classes in financial analysis.
A Chartered Financial Analyst, Mr. Fox received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Clark University and his Master’s in Economics from The Ohio State University.
Cindy brings more than 15 years experience as an investor relations practitioner to Clermont Partners. She specializes in strategic communications programs that improve Wall Street’s understanding of a company’s value proposition and attract new investment interest. In her corporate leadership roles, Cindy has been passionate about establishing best practices to improve decision-making and information flow between corporate management teams and various external audiences. She has managed all facets of an investor relations program for companies that are newly public, high growth or in transition. Her industry experience includes software, technology, healthcare, manufacturing and real estate. She has also successfully led business development efforts for an investor relations consultancy for four years. Cindy earned her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. in Journalism at the University of Wyoming. She has held various leadership roles in the National Investor Relations Institute, including Chair of the Senior Roundtable in 2010 and 2011.
Jennifer Childe has a broad and successful record of accomplishment in multiple fields, including equity research, investor relations, financial management, and investment & commercial banking. She spent 12 years on Wall Street as a sell-side equity analyst with Credit Suisse and Bear Stearns, where she attained the title of Managing Director. During her tenure as an equity analyst she covered more than 40 companies spanning eight different industries. She frequently appeared on CNBC and other financial programs, and has been widely quoted in business publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Fortune and BusinessWeek.
After moving back to the Midwest, Ms. Childe transitioned into financial management, overseeing the finance and accounting departments for two privately-held companies. More recently she moved into investor relations, where she played an integral role in shaping the investment community’s perception of a global aero communications service provider.
Ms. Childe received her Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her MBA from The University of Chicago. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Angie Mazza is the Director of Corporate Development at Clermont Partners and is based in Chicago. Angie works with the executive team to organize and curate marketing, sales and firm digital and social content. Additionally, she does research, performs daily news monitoring and develops materials for the public and media relations programs of the firm’s alternative asset management client base. She also assists with marketing and sales efforts for prospective clients in Clermont Partners Alternatives business segment.
Prior to joining Clermont Partners, Angie co-founded Commodore Intelligence, a platform for market intelligence, investor profiles and insights into accessing U.S. investment in European equities. At Commodore, Angie focused on analyzing investment styles and processes of firms, managing progress of data and product creation, and collaborating on the digital design of the company’s branding. She also assumed the role of Chief of Staff to the CEO. Previous roles have included sales, marketing and research internships in the real estate and software industries.
Angie has worked at early and later stage startups and contributed towards the development of each company. She is a graduate from Texas Christian University where she studied Entrepreneurial Management and Finance.
Bret Rosenthal is a Senior Consultant with Clermont Partners and is based in Chicago. Bret has spent the majority of his career to date trying to understand the deeper forces at play within the global capital markets. His trading background has provided a unique perspective on how a company’s corporate narrative impacts its valuation in conjunction with the external factors driving the increased volatility in the markets today.
Prior to joining Clermont Partners, Bret was a Trader and Training Coordinator focused on market making, relative value arbitrage, and fundamentally-oriented trading strategies across a variety of domestic and international markets. While this role focused more on global futures and fixed income products, his initial entry into the markets was rooted in equities. Previous roles included a security analyst focused on the information technology sector, consulting with an educational options strategy firm, and consulting with a stock research firm.
Bret has been a regular contributor for a number of digital media outlets to provide his commentary on market movements and managing risk. He is a graduate from The Ohio State University where he studied Finance and Economics.
